winch issues

Postby krazyfj » Tue Jul 26, 2011 9:39 pm

My warn m8000 stopped working, I thought it was a bad selonoid, but digging deeper I think the motor is bad, took it apart, it was loaded with mud and dirt. Anyone have any tricks or tips? Or just buy a new motor?

tom, try brushing the whole thing out, rinse it down w/ water, then again with WD 40 and put it back together. Get the dirt out and it might work again!

If that doesn't work, I hear Bernie's Auto Electric in East Hartford does some seriously good work.

You want to drop it off again Tom? What's it doing.
